Anxiety level going uppppp..

Anonymous wrote:OP, I think that anxiety you feel is probably this buried gut feeling that many of us have - that somehow the Democrats have put up the single most unqualified person they possibly could have in this election. And enough people, despite their best intentions, simply will not be able to fill out that bubble to vote for her.

I have no concerns about Harris. My concern is about the fact that millions of brainwashed Americans are still cultishly following a guy who is senile and incoherent, whose campaign is propped up by deranged billionaires like Musk and Thiel.

Yes, Cardi B and Swifties against Musk and Thiel.

A president is not a king or queen. You life should not revolve around it. There are MANY things in life that are more important.

Just to point out that a president has more important roles than a Queen or king whose responsibilities are fairly limited

YOU assign them the role of being the morality police like we live in the middle east. I don't. And anyone who fails your morality test, you attack. Your side is so upside down, it isn't even funny.

See the current Daniel Penny case.

This is like many other events where you cannot personally impact outcomes very much. You'll ride it out, just like you ride out job disappointments, health issues, and relationship problems. If things don't go your way this time, you have a chance to see something different four years from now. The results of this election are just that - this election, not future elections, not state and local elections, etc.

Get some perspective. Whatever happens, it's a blip in the big scheme of things.

I disagree. Trump has indicated that is is INSANE and will do insane sh*t. Why do you think it's just theatrics? He literally tried to overturn the election. If elected, he said he will:
- revoke licenses of broadcasters who disagree with him
- allow rfk jr free rein to 'do what he wants' with health dept including banning some (or all) vaccines
- has not ruled out nationwide abortion ban
- lord knows what to trans people
- raise tariffs hugely so everything we buy will be wildly expensive
- roll back any progress on this rapidly warming planet which will be irrevocable
- ban more books?
- become the king of trolls thus emboldening every internet troll to come out of the shadows and just fully troll in real life, empowered to be as racist, discriminatory and unaccountable as they possibly can bc their troll king will tell them every sh*tty thought they every had is 'ok' and 'they are right'.

that's just the beginning. our lives will change dramatically. that's why everyone is anxious.

Why would you be anxious? This is out of your control. Whichever side wins, this is going to be split government for a while.

Do you think you can 'ride out' another 2+ SCOTUS justices being appointed? You'll be lucky if your children are able to wait that out. Those are lifetime appointments and they all live to a thousand.

Partly because Trump is breaking down and the undecided prob going for Kamala as well as more people hate him than dislike her. I will not be voting for either but I pretty much guarantee that she'll win it. There's simply no way people will let Trump win again. No matter how many supporters he has, and u know he has a lot, he antagonizes people way too easily and it's 2024 not 2016 when people wanted to take a chance. He's had one and people will give Kamala one this time around. I don't think she'll do very well but I know he won't get another chance. It's just not how this country works.

People fought for your right to vote. Why are you throwing it away? You don't have to agree with a candidate 100% -- that is rare and should not be expected or demanded. I don't care who you vote for, but I believe it our duty to vote.

Are you the same OP as the husband won't canvas thread?
Even if you aren't but especially if you are it's past time for you to reach out to your therapist. You are not coping well.

Turn off your news sources and social media and do something nice for yourself.
Movies and hot chocolate? A nice spa bath or nails? Whatever you like.

This is what you hope people believe so they don't vote. This is a voter suppression message.

Ok, well the SCOTUS is unlikely to change in the next 4 yrs. They already ruled on R vs W. It isn’t coming back in the next 4 yrs. These are the justices that either President has to work with over the next 4 yrs.

Agree. The hysteria is totally unfounded and just propaganda to scare people into voting for one candidate or the other.

Don't be complacent, vote.

I feel super confident about Harris/Walz. I think my worries seep in from Clinton and Kerry.

That is not the only protection at risk. Make no mistake.
