DH is British. They do not care.
Also, it's much more "London" chic to be unique than to wear something everyone else is wearing. Having stated that, I hate the color. But that's just me. I don't like loud colours. |

What a nasty friend. I feel strongly against the bag but if i felt like you wanted to know, i'd say something like what a bright bag! You're really going to be easy to spot in London. Londonderry tend to go for more muted colors.
And if you cared, you'd change bags but if not just live your life and by happy |
| The only problem I see is that it's not a fall bag. |
What other ways? Most of the time these "better ways" are passive-aggressive, like the other poster suggesting saying "what a bright bag!". They were discussing their outfits, maybe this is just their dynamic. We don't know. Evidently a lot of people don't like this bag... |
I never would call somebody telling me my bag looks cheap a friend. This woman is not your friend and the bag does not look cheap independent of your appearance. And if so ... nobody in London cares. |
This is going to sound crazy, but you don't have to like everything your friend likes. You're allowed to have your own taste. If OP asked her friend if the bag was good or not, then fine - or if they regularly have a relationship where the friend dresses OP because OP doesn't feel confident enough to dress herself. But just volunteering that you think someone's bag looks cheap? YTA |

I love it!
I normally dont even use a purse. No way I'd be buying something new just to carry by wallet in for a trip. |
I may be one of the few people on this board who would respond to "that bag looks cheap" with "you think so? LOL! I guess I'm cheap!" and move on with my day. I would not be offended by the friends comment -- I mean, if she thinks it look cheap and is being honest about it, I can't be mad. I so prefer my friends giving their honest opinion rather than tiptoeing around me and trying not to offend me. I don't take this sort of thing personally -- different strokes and all. |
It REALLY depends on the friend! |
| No one will care, I would just be concerned about advertising your bag to pickpockets. |
| I don't like the branded strap, but that's just me personally thinking that branding is tacky. You do whatever you want. Your friend is a b_. |
| I am from london and no one is going to be looking at you or your bag. If they are you will never see them again. Your friend is a weirdo |
Never happened to me in 31 years of living there so I think you can chill |
Yes to no purse. Wear clothing with pockets instead. Your back and shoulders will be forever grateful. |
Stupid comment. It happens to tourists usually. |
