What other ways? Most of the time these "better ways" are passive-aggressive, like the other poster suggesting saying "what a bright bag!". They were discussing their outfits, maybe this is just their dynamic. We don't know. Evidently a lot of people don't like this bag...[/quote]

This is going to sound crazy, but you don't have to like everything your friend likes. You're allowed to have your own taste. If OP asked her friend if the bag was good or not, then fine - or if they regularly have a relationship where the friend dresses OP because OP doesn't feel confident enough to dress herself. But just volunteering that you think someone's bag looks cheap? YTA[/quote]
