Washington and Liberty and Madison at blowing teams out in a similar fashion. Guess its ok for some schools to do it.

When they are blowing away a school like South County 63 to zero, something is definitely amiss.

SoCo traditionally beats Hayfield by a wide margin.

Last year, SoCo beat Hayfield 53 to 9.

That is a tremendous point swing between the two schools, statistically impossible unless something untowardly happened.

Last year, Madison beat SoCo by only 1 touchdown, 21-14.

Based on how Hayfield trounced SoCo, Hayfield is going to completely embarrass Madison when they meet in the playoffs.

Madison is going to lose by 50 to 60 points, and will probably not score once.

Ok so So County ran the score up on Hayfield last year. 63-0 was payback. The Chantilly coach was mouthing off before last weeks game before Chantilly got what they got. What goes around comes back sometimes.

What a terrible example the hayfield coach is.

Proof the Chantilly coach was "mouthing off"? The Chantilly principal is one of the best in all of FCPS. I HIGHLY DOUBT this occurred.

Well you don’t know. Ask anyone involved with Chantilly football

So you have no proof and are just full of it.

The Chantilly Coach sent an email which said “This week, we will host the most controversial team the VHS has ever permitted to play. The Hayfield Hawks will visit us this Friday. Our organic roster of Chantilly students will put 3-0 on the line against the best roster of transfers ever assembled in VHSL history.”

Personally I don’t think that’s mouthing off. That’s just facts.

Is that why all those grown adult syncophants, "Jesus coaches" and creepy hangers-on kept using the word "organic" in their vile social media posts?

Seems that’s the reason.

One of the Chantilly football parents told me "our coach earned that a$$whippin for running his mouth”. Not sure exactly what was meant, but I’m guessing it was more than just that email.

And the email was an uncalled for attempt to escalate drama amongst the team parents.

No one is jealous of a traveling circus of cheaters, liars, drug addicts and weird religious creeps.

We do feel really sorry for the kids being exposed to these rotten people (especially the kids who have to sit out the year and not play).

I really don't see any part of that email as inaccurate.

Should schools pretend Hayfield is a real team?

So see 5 games, 4 shut outs wins of 64-0, 63-0, 70-0 and 65-0 and 1 other win 48-7. Maxprep ranking said as of 10/1 were #1 in their district but only 25 in VA and 24 in DC area. Even assuming Maxprep rankings are worthless, is Hayfield not higher because West Springfield wasn’t a shut out? Also, after 9 of 15 found ineligible, are players from last year varsity getting to play?

Hayfield is lucky that teams bother to take the field when they should just be forfeiting as a protest.

Apologies if this was answered already, but why did Darryl Overton move to Hayfield? What was the draw for him to go there and what happened to the football staff before he came in with all his staff, including his nephew’s dad that saw is defensive coach and an instructional assistant for special-needs students? Had Hayfield coaches quit and that is what prompted all the new hires/staff changes?

Most of them are not.

Fairfax County provides better support to their football programs. For example, Freedom went undefeated last year and won the championship. And the school system wouldn’t even provide transportation to the championship game. The kids had to find their own way down there.

Hayfield is much better than the teams they have been playing, but there are some Virginia teams that could be a threat. They aren’t a shoe in to win it all this year.

Battlefield is tough, Oscar Smith is gonna be tough, W&L is undefeated to. I won’t be surprised if Hayfield doesn’t win the championship year.

On the 19th, they play a battle tested Riverdale Baptist team. I personally believe Riverdale Baptist will hand Hayfield their first loss this season,

This is urban legend. The school system would provide school buses (it’s a 90 minute ride to Richmond) but the Freedom team wanted charter buses.

Said Aziz was HC at Hayfield last year. He got fired for going 18-14 over 3 seasons.

According to a February article, Overton left Freedom due to tension “outside of the building.” That presumably means Prince William County central administration. This article mentions getting investigated for parking in the wrong spot: https://www.insidenova.com/sports/updated-darryl-overton-leaving-freedom-to-become-hayfields-new-head-football-coach/article_d511491a-c771-11ee-83c9-2b562a429a03.html

It does not mention anything about transportation to the state game which is further evidence the bus claim was invented later.
