It says nothing about a Harris. |
I'm sure this "blue collar" guy convinced them Republicans are better for them:

I am no Harris fan, but taxpayers should not bail out private pensions on any level. I would rather the union go bankrupt and have its leaders host bake sales than pay for someone else's retirement. It is expensive enough to save for my own. |
Most of the Members Support Trump!
https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/18/politics/teamsters-will-not-endorse-us-president/index.html That is reason leadership did not endorses anyone. They wanted to endorse Harris, but most of their members would have opposed. They should have endorsed Trump as a majority of their members wanted to. |
This is great news!! Thanks for sharing. |
This is a very big deal for two reasons:
1) Optics. This is the first time in decades that the Teamsters have not endorsed the D nominee, and 2) Perhaps more important: the Teamsters typically fund and execute a huge get-out-the vote effort in the rust belt states. This will cost Harris dearly there. |
Then they wouldn't get all that sweet Federal funding and cash and kickbacks. Mafia knows where the money is. |
Was a good line in that old Rodney Daingerfield movie where he says, "Then there's the Teamsters and waste disposal to deal with. I don't know if you know who runs them, but I assure you it's not the Boy Scouts!" or something like that. ![]() |
It says she’s black and the leader is a racist. |
Teamster poll
Trump 58% Harris 31% Teamsters say it is too close to call so they won't endorse (with a straight face). |
I'd say the gap is larger than that at this point. Cannot believe they chose to install Kamala instead of Bernie. |
I see the union leadership has chimed in. The workers... not so much. |
It would be best if no entity "endorsed" a candidate in any race at any time. Only individual citizens can vote and they need to be able vote without any undue influence from an entity they may have an affiliation with. It's disgusting to think otherwise. |
