Yes, a lot of security on campus when I arrived during the last quarter to pick up my kids. Not a lot off campus from what I saw. Seems like MoCo PD should have been more aware that G Square was the likely place of the fights (which students were very vocal about while leaving the game). This isn’t on mcps.

What's G square?

The video looks like the fights were on school campus, directly next to the building door and windows

I'm guessing they were sleeping because this happened late Friday night? And then maybe investigating what happened before mouthing off?

What do you need to know from them on Saturday morning?

The letters probably won’t come out until Monday.

Georgetown Square is the shopping center next to WJ. It’s a lunch time and after school hang out.

There are 0 consequences and the students know this.

The on twitter post cited here just looks like three different angles on the same fight between two people, occurring on school property. Am I missing something?

Maybe there are other videos or were other fights, but that one doesn't look anything like what happened last year -- roaming groups of kids attacking other kids randomly.

Where's the report anywhere or evidence that anything more happened, and esp that BCC kids were attacking WJ kids?

Last year it was BCC students who jumped WJ students so not both schools. I don’t know what happened last night.

And this is just football! It's the basketball games between BCC and WJ that are really bad in terms of fights. I won't let me kids go anymore (after one spent some time running and hiding after one of them)

Yeah, I agree if you listen to the audio it sounds like the same incident and looks like it is in back of school so probably near parking lot. Not at G square. It also doesn’t sound like it was nearly as bad as what happened last year — this one almost sounds like a slap fight with then a lot of kids exclaiming. Last years incident was a full on assault with kids needing medical treatment and time off school.

Also, and not naming names... but some adults in sports boosters tend to encourage a rah-rah aggressive culture that I do not appreciate and which might contribute to a sense of impunity from certain kids.

MCPS gives immunity.

Taylor went to the Clarksburg game. Why didn’t he go to this game?

He can only go to one game at a time.

He really needs to find a way to clone himself.

They should expect a fight between WJ and BCC. It's an annual tradition. I'm surprised they allow them play each other anymore.

This is totally the courtyard area in the middle of G Square near the former Washington Sports Club, Tailor shop, Hair Salon, Kicks Karate. It is not WJ in the background.

OK -- but the point remains. It's all seems to be one fight. Involving two people. No BCC shirts in sight, but police are there.
So, BCC Bashers: where are the reports, videos or other evidence supporting the claims in this thread that "fights" -- plural -- broke out or that even this one had any connection to the game?
