booo.

OP I am taking my tween to the Weezer show (he’s become a fan?). If I had good arms and was size 4 I’d wear a throwback grung outfit like cutoff jeans and a black tank top. I heard it can get hot in the Anthem. GL on finding a cute Weezer guy.

I'm also taking my tweens. I was so surprised that Weezer has been so popular among the kids. What a treat.

OP, wear jeans and a blue t-shirt to celebrate the Blue album tour.

This nerd mom is going with a nerd mom friend and our young teens. It’ll be tshirts and jeans all around.

Common advice. Do not wear a Weezer T-shirt to a Weezer concert.

"Flip, I can't think of anything more punk than planning your outfit days in advance."

I feel like I need to go very Devil Wears Prada here - but do you think that these guys just fell out of the coconut tree like this?

Or these guys - they just woke up and happened to look like this?

How about Debbie Harry - was she allowed to give some thought to her clothes or was it also incredibly uncool for her to care about her appearance?

She just happened to have these boots lying around - or she carefully selected a pair of amazing boots, put them on, and thought about how to look both cool and sexy?

They all look great, but if I saw a 45 year old suburban mom show up at a Weezer concert in any of those outfits, I would laugh hard.

Right, and no one said she should. But for people saying it's super uncool to think about what you're wearing - the point is that even the people who look most effortlessly cool have put thought into what they are wearing. They just make it look like they haven't. It's not strange or uncool for OP to think about what she's going to wear either - esp since she is interested in appearing available.

I’m tired of feeling like I should be ashamed because I have desires and needs and I still might enjoy a hook up or flirt with a guy. Yes, I might have kids and I might be divorced, but that doesn’t make me not attractive anymore or not want to have a little fun once in a while. I am a big Pinkerton and blue album Weezer fan and like I said, I’m very attracted to dorky guys. I myself am a dork.

Not judging at all, OP. I saw Weezer for the first time in my 20s - and I'm in my 50s now - and I hope you have a great time at the show, in every way.
