I agree. Lots of middle aged women acting like middle school girls. I go to a lot of concerts with my teenage DD and the women who are trying hard to dress cute are a little sad. Just be comfy and enjoy the show.

But why? Why is this a little sad? Why can’t people that enjoy dressing up or looking a certain way do this without your judging them?

People are suuuuper triggered by a 40+ woman daring to have fun and look nice, I guess? I think they are the pathetic ones.

It is a Ricky martin concert, but there are some really interesting looks and SKORTS guys. Skorts are back!!:

This is a Ricky Martin concert in Sevilla, Spain … not really a comparator!

I enjoyed looking at this though! So many beautiful women in their 40s, 50s, getting dressy and living’ la vida loca! SAD!

booo.

OP I am taking my tween to the Weezer show (he’s become a fan?). If I had good arms and was size 4 I’d wear a throwback grung outfit like cutoff jeans and a black tank top. I heard it can get hot in the Anthem. GL on finding a cute Weezer guy.

I'm also taking my tweens. I was so surprised that Weezer has been so popular among the kids. What a treat.

OP, wear jeans and a blue t-shirt to celebrate the Blue album tour.

I mean granted, Weezer’s washed up, but it’s antithetical to the spirit of a decent rock concert to be a try-hard with a “cute” outfit. If OP had an actual style that she felt really strongly about, I would say, yeah, go for it! But she’s crowdsourcing outfit ideas. It’s just lame.

What’s really “try hard” is insulting what another woman wants to wear … that’s seriously 13 year old behavior. Come on.

There’s nothing to insult. OP has no idea what to wear.

Snarking on the DCUM beauty forum is pathetic.

Ok, here’s a suggestion for OP, completely seriously. Black tank top, maybe a little cropped. Wide legs jeans. Sneakers. Done.

+Yes to all this. Have fun OP!

Cool-I already have van sneakers and wide leg jeans, I’ll come up with a shirt. Going to wear my glasses instead of contacts too.

Normally I'd say to not wear a sweater, but since OP wants to get laid (and can't just grab a guy from a board game meetup or obsessively comparing price/oz at the grocery store?), I'd say to definitely wear a raggy sweater with no shirt under. Hand a loose thread to a guy, and walk away.

Anonymous wrote:I mean this kindly, but it doesn't really matter what you wear. At 45, people aren't really looking at you. Go to the concert FOR the concert. Wear something comfortable that makes you feel confident. Show off your good arms. Don't go with the goal to hook up with a stranger where you are assessing the crowd rather than enjoying the show.

The crowd is going to be older - Weezer's been around for 30 years now. It's not like OP is going hoping to hook up with an 18 year old (and even if she were!). Why not go out hoping to meet someone, when you're in a fun place with people your age who like what you like?

I'd wear a denim skirt and t-shirt or other cute top, shoes you'll be comfortable standing and dancing in.

I want to dress cute-girls night out, love me a nerdy weezer type guy so wouldn’t mind attracting some attention and hooking up with one after the show! I am a divorced 40s mom. Great shape, size 4, I have good arms.

Men want a good rear and chest, not good arms.
