Hopefully people recognize that these women train for their sport like a full time job. Why would anyone expect the average woman to look like that? I don’t expect average men to look like an Olympic swimmer. |
Funny how “choice” was not considered by OP. |
The Olympics is an absolute celebration of bodies that are exceptionally fine tuned to be the best in the world. It is very backwards to say that diminishes anyone. It’s the pinnacle of human athletic achievement. |
| Thank god we have 53+ year old, 35 lbs overweight suburban Karens gatekeeping Olympic outfits for athletes. Lol. |
The men even were less in water polo. In fact, there were shots in TV where men play dirty and try to rip the trunks off other players' during the match. The underwater camera guy showed ass in TV because the other guy was yolking the opposing player's skimpy trunks off. |
No one wants to see 99% of women, duh. The Olympics showcase the Pinnacle of the human body. The .0001% of humans on Earth. Go back to eating your frozen dinners. |
+1, I don't watch the Olympics to see people who look just like me. These are elite athletes. You think my DH looks like the average male Olympian? Honey, please. I was really inspired by the 1500m women's final because many of the top competitors are moms including one athlete who had a baby just last year. The gold medalist took a long break from the sport after a traumatic birth and then returned to become a world champion and repeat Olympic champion. There is a 100m sprinter with a similar story. Watching these women race it never once occurred to me "oh those shorts are really short." I was focused on their speed, their grit, their perseverance. It's inspiring. If you can't see that because you are distracted by the way that if their upper thighs or bare midriffs, I feel bad for you. |
They are so tight nothing gets in. |
Obviously, you didn't watch the women's shot put, hammer throw, or weight lifting. |
I agree, it's totally inspiring. OP is projecting her own insecurities and prejudices onto professional athletes in top condition, most of whom are more concerned with what their bodies can do than how they look. |
Yes they do. https://www.digitalspy.com/showbiz/a794818/tom-daley-explains-why-his-speedos-are-so-small-everything-has-to-stay-in-place/ |

+1 million. It’s a joy to see that with training and discipline what form human body can achieve and how beautiful it can look, those toned bums inspired slackers like me to do better. I immigrated from a conservative country and I am thrilled that people don’t give a fuc& as to what athletes wear, I am tired of society trying to tell women at every step what is decent and what’s not. |
And it’s so coarse and rough. Just irritating |
