- hummus and veggies
- tuna salad with crackers
- white rice in a zip lock with ketchup (sounds gross but she loves it)

One of my kids does this - we don't send for lunch, but she eats rice with ketchup.

Cubed cheese, baby carrots, gherkins, apple slices, etc. My kids love finger foods for lunch. They are not interested in sandwiches. Has to be a variety.

crunchy peanut butter on ritz crackers and little oranges.

Dolmas are the biggest hit with my kids. We buy them at Trader Joes.

Are they healthy / full of preservatives?

Empanadas have been a big hit for my kids lately (I buy premade in the freezer section of the grocery store).

Mango porcupines (score, flip inside out)

Unbelievable that you would send someone out into public with fish AND mayo.

More than one person mentioning pasta salad as well.

Beware, class conscious people. If you want your kids to have UMC or higher values, avoid sending them to school with pasta salad. Lest they decide they like it and regularly eat it, or potentially get ridiculed by the cool kids.

What are you talking about?

There is a small but vocal contingent here that has some sort of alert set up so when anyone MENTIONS mayonnaise or pasta salad, they immediately take over the thread and go in ad nauseum how they are a health threat and low-class.
