Potomac “Wet Dreams” Party

It's big, and it's in a nice area, but it's not super high end, upscale, refined, luxurious, or unique. It would be a 700K executive's house in a smaller midwestern city. It's unremarkable in the world of big houses. The rental asking prices reflect a huge disjoint in the mind of the owner and the market.

Another thing is that its situated very close to the neighbors. Sure, it's a 40,000 sq foot lot, but much of that is the front yard & the neighbors can see and hear everything in the backyard. There's not a ton of privacy here for a big blowout party.

Owners don't seem like the sharpest tools, so it wouldn't surprise me if they got conned by the sketchy renter/party host on AirBnb.

Lack of front plates on many cars suggests a lot of people driving in from beyond the DMV (e.g., PA, NC).

I would guess that he’s trying to generate tax losses.

Maybe, but maybe not. I see a lot of cars without front license plates all the time.

Agreed.

Something is very, very off.

Perhaps easier to just place 1 borrowed tag on the back....

At best, they might speak to the violators and tell them to try to keep things down. I was flat out told that they simply don't have the resources to deal with noise violations, especially on weekends.

I actually am pretty sympathetic to the fact that violent crime needs to take priority, but the police response here should be viewed in that context as something that is completely typical.

I agree. It would be pure chaos and maybe violence to break up a drunken/drugged party that size. It would need a SWAT team lol. I truly feel for the neighbors.

VA isn't enforcing any laws let alone plate laws these days as I see only one VA plate all the time.

I feel like we’re really pushing the definition of “mansion” here, no?

It looks like a Classic Homes house.

I heard the owner will be throwing monthly parties like this to cover the cost of her divorce. For $1,000 - $2,000, you too can attend a wet dreams party!

Definitely. It's a big house, maybe a McMansion? I can't understanding wanting 100k/month to rent it. What is that about?
