My doctor would not prescribe ozempric and I am miserable.

Use one of the online services that work with insurance: The doctors there only consult for this and will give you a prescription because you so clearly qualify!

What will likely happen is that she will be full with 800-1000 calories a day and not feel deprived at all, and lose weight. The great thing with the meds is you can try them for 3-6 months and see how it goes. If one doesn’t work, try another. And new ones will be coming out in the next few years.

NP I lost 40 lbs in a couple of months once while eating mostly just rice, bananas and occasionally some other stuff but nothing bad for me. I was going through some stress that completely took away my appetite and I barely even wanted to eat the rice. I kept that weight off for awhile but it eventually came back. I have never had that experience of completely losing my appetite and interest in food before or since then. I wish I knew how to make it happen.

When I was a poor college student and living in a sublet for summer session. The student in the space before me had left a bag of potato’s and a sack of onions. Every day I ate fried potato’s and onions, with ketchup, there was a half empty bottle in the fridge.

I lost about 20lbs which was a lot on my frame. I looked malnourished because I was. Plenty of really thin people in the world subsist on nothing but carbs, and they are tiny.

I can attest to the fried onions and potato diet.

You should! There’s all these noisy people on DCUM calling people selfish for using semaglutides, but they have no idea what they’re talking about. If you’re willing to give yourself a shot, these drugs are extremely easy to find.
