What world does Carolyn live in that being an "eight" is grade inflation?

What world do you live in where there are all these 8s, 9s, and 10s?

I mean I think I'm an 8 so if someone said that I was I would just say thank you. But I am not a 20yo boy so I don't rate women on a 1-10 scale.

If you were actually an 8, you would be way too busy to be on the website

Yeah. Only uggos slack off at work lol.

I've done meet-ups with groups that formed on the internet, the PP is correct, there are very few 8s online.

8 is the perfect answer, especially with an expectance of grade inflation. I would know DH was bull$hitting me with a 9 or 10.

I don't need my husband to offer me an objective, unvarnished assessment on my relative attractiveness.

I already have a mother.

If she was an 8, she wouldn't be working

I'm relatively new to this site (several months), but I really don't get why guys would be on here. It seems to be mostly wives complaining about their husbands.

I mean, if Gisele is a 10, I'll take an 8. I have always had plenty of male attention so I know I'm attractive. Maybe the woman's problem is that she is insecure already. I wouldn't expect DH to call me a 10. I would know he's being disingenuous.

Damn. My mother would never have commented on my appearance like that. I know it's common but that would mess me up. I'm sorry. 100% projection on her part.

Don't tell my wife but she is a 3 at best. If she fixes her personality such a low bar she would be an 11 because she is still gorgeous at 52. But the personality man aye aye 0

Maybe she likes to work? Margot Robbie is a ten and she works.

if you think my wife is beautiful now, you should have seen her ten years ago!

Maybe it's their way to get inside the minds of women. Like that Mel Gibson movie.

Apparently the only women asking their DH's this question has gutter level self esteem and only want to hear 10. It would never occur to me to set this type of trap on my DH.

I don’t understand this response. If my DH asked, I’d tell him he was an 11. The woman says her husband says he was making a joke. My response would make my DH laugh.

My point is that a secure woman doesn’t give a sh*t about some random 1-10 rating. So before she’s even said the words, they’ve both lost the game to her terrible self esteem.

I am not a 10. If my DH said I was, I’d know he was pandering to me. But I’d also never ASK this question bc I know I have SO MUCH VALUE that goes beyond my chest/waist/hips measurements.

Not at all. DH and I are scientists and I'd rather he be honest. I'm honest with him. We value accuracy in this household, not that we apply it to such drivel, but if he started saying I was a 12, I'd look at him weird.

Agree. Let’s be rational here. An 8 should be way over an average.
