he's a D1 lacrosse commit at JHU.

Sounds like he's an amazing kid. Why try to cast doubt on his accomplishments?

This is patently and true at Sidwell. Can’t speak to other schools. I realize this thread is not about Sidwell, but you need to know that sometimes people with surprisingly low IQs get to go to Ivy and similar schools on the basis of their ability to run around and catch a ball. Especially if the ball is a football or a basketball basketball

Patently *UNtrue. Some of the Ivy recruits from Sidwell in the past three or four years have been functionally illiterate.

If Sidwell is graduating functionally illiterate students that reflects poorly on the school.

Doesn’t every thread turn into a Sidwell thread. So many insecure parents there.

Haven't you heard? It's the most famous DC private (maybe).

They've started announcing their college admissions but conveniently are not designating athletic recruits as such.
Example: today they announced a kid to Columbia and one to JHU. Well, both are athletic recruits.
The regular Joes are going to far different schools.

Of course they are what do you expect from the school that hid child abuse

As does sharing student IQ’s as implied above.

You need help. Let me guess, your kid got rejected by Prep or you couldn't afford it so you had to send him to another Catholic, most likely Gonzaga. You've been checking Instagram incessantly since January 2024 desperate to see Prep's admission results to reaffirm you have value a mom and human being. By 10 PM on May 10th, you had checked Instagram for the 30th time of the day - you try to limit yourself to once an hour but forgot your meds that day - and JACKPOT!!! All your dreams came true! Time to enter the DCUM post you've been writing and rewriting in your head for over 4 months.
Who cares this much? Seriously, you do need help. At least this obsession takes your attention away from your kids and gives them some relief from you. Now take your meds today.

Meltdown in progress - lexapro stat!

How do you know what lexapro is? I had to look it up. Seemingly, you take it.

yes, they all do.

Many do, many of the instragram accounts are run by kids. My kid is an athletic recruit and their school (private co-ed in MoCo) instagram account isn't including them.

A doctor doesn't need to have cancer to help someone who does.

Next, you’re going to Complain that they don’t disclose standardized test scores or GPA. As others have indicated, these are typically student-run accounts to share where kids are going to college. It’s not supposed to contain a complete student profile.
