I’m not Jewish but married into a Jewish family. I’m actually fairly surprised by the number of American Jews who are supporting netanyahu’s and the Idf’s approach to the war at this point. I was pretty supportive in October and November but it has gone so far and with no real progress that I can see. The only people winning are Iran and other anti-semites who will use this for hundreds of years to support their cause. When a guy like Jose Andres is writing an open letter asking you to rethink your approach, you know you’re probably on the wrong track. I just don’t know what the heck BN thinks he’s accomplishing, and I’m very concerned by America essentially giving him a blank check. I think Jake Sullivan is ineffectual and blinken seems like he has not real juice in this situation. I am really surprised American Jews would move yo Trump in these circumstances as I am 100% sure he will only make the situation worse for Jews around the world.

Are you talking about the presidency or more up and down the ballot? |
No, I think Biden is doing as good a job as he can possibly do in this terrible situation.
The protesters hate Biden. They are not Democrats. It's really cutting off your nose to spite your face, and everyone's face, to vote for Trump - an actual anti-semite, who dines with Nazis. No thanks. Plus I loathe everything Trump is and what he stands for. So, no. I will be voting for Biden this November. |
If your sole reason for switching your vote from Biden to Trump because all Biden did was support Israel and some jerks got upset about that, your priorities are really messed up. |
Biden has stood by Israel and will stand by Israel. His statements critical of Israel are just that: statements. What more do you want? |
It’s already been established that campus protesters who are actually students (not outside agitators) represent a very small percentage of students in the country. Proof of this is a university that has two campuses. The protestors on the smaller campus were pleading for students on the larger campus to join. Maybe a few joined the smaller campus, but no protest materialized on the larger. In fact, the outside agitators outnumber students. Many organized funds and leaflets being distributed to the SJ groups on campuses.

I am a Jew and would probably vote for Trump at this point, having formerly voted for Biden. I may be swinging the pendulum too far, but words cannot express how absolutely disgusted I’ve been by the far left and DEI exclusion of and disregard for Jews and viewpoint diversity. It absolutely floors me that Jews, arguably the most discriminated against minority in history, are excluded from the DEI movement because it’s literally a competition for who is the most persecuted and oppressed in a “what have you done for me lately” DEI movement who doesn’t support minorities who lift themselves up and better themselves. It persuaded me that DEI is an anti-meritocracy that rewards the lazy and most whiny. To see the word genocide being causally thrown in Jews’ faces and to see Zionism always equated with Judaism and the outright antisemitism…… it made me realize the far left/radical Muslims are building a strong alliance against all Jews - American and Israeli - and I think this is the greatest threat to American Jews who have enjoyed many decades of safety and prosperity thanks to this great country’s protections of civil rights. Unfortunately, I think Trump will do a better job of protecting American Jews and Israeli Jews by failing to tolerate the far left and their antics. And I think the KKK/far right loonies are a lesser threat to American Jews in the short term because they will never align with the Arabs. |
Fight to get another candidate to run in the election. Will it be Kennedy this year? we know it will take away votes from T or Biden. That's the way one of these two parties will try to change. |
Well Biden did not arrest the protesters. |
Amen. Could not say it any better. The difference between Trump and Biden is that Trump had a son-in-law who was Jewish, who he clearly cares for, and clearly listened to on issues that were important to and impacted Jewish people. Obviously, Trump did not always make the decision we wanted him to make, but it was clear he actually considered us and our needs. I’ve seen nothing to suggest Biden cares at all about the Jewish people, or has any interest in listening to us or treating us as Americans. He certainly cares far more about pacifying and cozying up to the radical Islamic extremist movement that is currently targeting Jews as a part of their pro-Genocide “protests” then supporting American Jews and Israel in our time of need. |
+1, lifelong Dem here. |
You mean with his national police force that has jurisdiction on campus? Oh, that's right. He doesn't have one because that would make him a dictator. |
Jose Andres sent WCK staff into harms way without appropriate training and support. |
Yes Hamas still totally control Gaza. It is their only fault for trusting Hamas and working with Hamas. What do you expect Hamas was going to do, let them live? I still can not believe Jose Andres has nit been arrested by the US, |
Back during the ‘Nam protests presidents would call up the national guard to disperse protesters, often violently. Really shows priorities. Peaceful protests against war got shut down by the guard, violent protests calling for Jewish genocide can go on without issue. |
