People who only bathe once a week stink.

My kid is in flag football after being in school all day for 1.5 hours 3 days a week. He takes a shower on those days. Yesterday, afterschool we went to the park for 1.5 hours and he ran like a tiger (yes on all 4s its impressive) through long grass for about 20 minutes. Tick check plus a shower.

He averages 5-6 showers per week because of activity. Kids, when playing properly, get sweaty and dirty and grassy and need to shower, especially during the summer months when its hot and during spring with the pollen.

If he has a lazy day around the house then he doesnt have to shower. It sounds like your kids need to be outside with the opportunity to get dirty more.

I’m sorry you didn’t have daughters.

NP. I have daughters and my kids life is similar to what this poster describes. In the spring, summer and fall we do a nightly tick check. They play outside in mud and tall grasses. Bakijg a mud concoction in the sun has been a favorite activity for all my children at once age regardless of gender. I have found small bugs I my daughters hair during shower after playing outside. We only skip showers if we have been inside all day.

Yes, we have highly reactive eczema and missing a bath/moisturizer night means dealing with a flare-up for a week.

The good news is since this has been part of her life forever she can do the full routine in 5-7 minutes.

Mine are the dolls/playdoh/friendship bracelet type, not the mudd and tall grass type. They bathe twice a week unless we go to the pool or beach, etc.

I know of no one whose children only shower once a week. This is disgusting. I on e worked with a man who smelled so bad we called him Brine Shrimp behind his back. Finally, the big boss had a talk with him about bathing and changing clothes because he wore the same shirt for a week.

You are mentioning an extreme. But tons of adults shower e/o day and you have no clue.

Shower every night. I have three kids and they shower before bed no matter how late we get home. For us taking a nightly shower is like brushing your teeth. It’s a part of their routine.

We do every other day with our pre-pubescent kids unless they’re really dirty or sweaty. They both like to take a ridiculously long time in the shower/bath so we stagger the days.

Yes. Every day. How is this a question?

Because lots of people don't. So clearly it is a question. I've never daily showered in my life and I'm mid 40's.
