Any logistical considerations someone might not know to ask about? Value public school education, not concerned about minute differences in academics/offerings etc., most concerned about emotional climate in kid and parent communities.

Sadly, not being able to use bathrooms at SC will prepare them for their BCC career. The bathroom situation there is untenable. The administration is great at giving lip service, not so great at actually changing anything or making the bathrooms there safe.

MCPS ES mom in this pyramid. What makes the bathrooms unsafe in MS and BCC??

Are you new around here, or just getting into this bathroom talk?:

How much of the info in that bathroom thread is about MS and BCC? Or at most MS and MCP HS bathrooms?

It seems to be very school specific. My kids attend DCC middle and high schools, and the bathrooms are open. I've confirmed this with my kids themselves, but I've also been inside their schools at various times in a professional capacity and have not seen a closed bathroom.

However, I've been in other MS and HSs in the same capacity and seen closed bathrooms, so it is absolutely happening. There's not a lot of rhyme or reason to it, though. Sometimes the schools with closed bathrooms are the ones you might expect, where the kids have a lot of generational and economic trauma that can lead to "acting out." But in other cases (like BCC and SCMS), they are objectively wealthy schools and I can't figure out if the administration is over-reacting or whether that wealth is fueling destructive behavior.
