OP - I have similar skin to you, also 40’s, but I use tretinoin, not retin-A. I have tried most suggestion in this thread; the best were either the Kiehls ultra face moisturizer or tatcha dewy skin cream. Both were okay, but not holy grail. Recently I started using a Korean moisturizer - Etude House Soon Jung 2x Barrier intensive cream - and it’s amazing (and I think under $20). It’s lighter weight than the other 2 I had been using but it somehow keeps my skin more moisturized - like glowy. I use with toner and serum. I can’t really use vit C bc it irritates my skin/causes redness. Highly recommend!

OP here. Where do you get it? I’ve read not to buy skin stuff off Amazon. Is there an online retailer?

This is my absolute favorite too! (OP -- if you are interested in Korean skincare, this is a Korean brand.) I have sensitive skin and have tried so many moisturizers. This one is FANTASTIC!

DP. RetinA is a brand name for tretinoin. It's the same thing - like Tylenol and acetaminophen.

I get my Korean/Japanese beauty products from Stylevana.com. I know other people who use Yes Style. They're legitimate sites and I've gotten great products from them at less cost than Amazon.
