What movies/TV shows mention northeastern🙄🙄🙄

Princeton: a beautiful mind, admission, boardwalk empire

Harvard/Harvard Law: the social network, a few good men, the firm, legally blonde, with honors, the paper chase, suits, scent of a woman, da Vinci code,

MIT: good will hunting, 21,

Independence Day, the recruit, six degrees of separation, iron man

Yale/Yale law: lost in translation, the skulls, Billions, my cousin Vinny,

Georgetown and northwestern seem to pop up on DC and Chicago set films.

Some get mentioned in unflattering ways. Andy Bernard of The Office and Cornell comes to mind

St. Elmo's Fire!

I could never believe Billy got into Georgetown! What a doofus. 😁

Julia Roberts studying in the Georgetown Law library—Pelican Brief

Tulane. Not Georgetown. Pelicans are pretty sparse in the DMV

It was definitely filmed at Georgetown Law. I was a student there then and some of my friends were extras.

Wasn’t just marketing; they gamed the USNWR rankings

I work at Georgetown, and I can tell you with full confidence that the placement in entertainment is completely organic. There is zero proactive marketing effort. It’s a strong brand + associated with DC. I would assume this is true of most of the other big name schools mentioned in this thread; they are names that signify something because of longstanding reputation.

Agree.

2 - the answer is obviously University of Phoenix.

University of Phoenix for sure

I love Bojack. They also feature Northwestern quite heavily, as Mr. Peanutbutter is a NU alum (which I imagine is also some sort of stereotyping on the writers' part).
