Kids. Before that it was a cakewalk. |
You are a terrible human. |
Awesome comeback. Here is your participation prize. 🧶 |
The irony. |
I think a lot of things are hard- parenting and my job, but marriage isn't hard. Sure there's a negotiation about everything (and I don't mean some big debate, more like knowing that my dh would prefer a mountain vacation over a beach vacation) but it's fun. Marriage is just having a best friend on your side to manage the kids, manage the house and pay the bills. |
bad judgment makes you terrible. |
Kids and financial stress have made it hard for us. I look wistfully at friends with "easy" kids and six figure incomes and imagine things wouldn't be so hard. |
What makes living with someone and coordinating life today married? - parenting kids - maintaining a house and property - executive functioning skills required to run a household and family, whilst working fulltime - communicating and role modeling healthy conversations, conflict resolution, planning methods - accommodating in laws visits, holidays, new or old traditions - being a true adult with responsibilities beyond to one’s self |
My ADHD. |
Negotiation about everything is hard (to some people). I find it hard, and my husband and I agree more than most spouses I think. |
Everyone shows bad judgment at least a few times in their life. Like for example, you show bad judgment in being an anonymous jerk on the internet. The question is, do you have any redeeming qualities to overcome that? Doubtful.🤨 |
When one spouse assumes nothing in their work life or general personal schedule will change after buying a house or having kids.
Big problem. |
Weirdly at one point when our kids were younger, I think marriage was easier, there was this goal we were very focused on together. |
+1 I see a lot of marriages with amazing relationships and ideal spouses but would not trade with any of them. Parenting is definitely the hard part because I feel like their future rests on my guidance. Maybe it's seems easier once you've past the 20 yr mark in marriage and parenting. |
Yea, bc this judgement in this website is so much like choosing a spouse. |
