Why do some people need so much novelty in relationships and sex?

This has been researched fairly extensively and the majority of people who are seeking a lot of novelty are males. There are exceptions of course but it’s not a mystery why certain individuals are seeking more partners than others.

This is probably a holdover from how dangerous it is for women to step out. I find women need novelty even more than men to sustain sexual desire.
