If you wanted to legally and safely annoy an apartment neighbor,

The time + energy you would be potentially investing into something as immature as this would be best spent in doing something productive for the universe instead.

Why not volunteer all your free time to a local animal shelter?
Or a homeless shelter??

Or better yet, if you hate where you are living at >> why not move?! 🫵🏼

Nothing that could provide a noise complaint or could justifiably be called a nuisance. Just stuff that would be irritating/make you want to move.

Grow up!

Y'all are no fun. Bunch of hall monitors. This could have been a fun thread.

Agree. And I have a neighbor I'd love to get back as well so I'm looking for ideas

They don't like me, and it is rooted in prejudice. They say nasty things about me to all our neighbors and never speak to me and glare at me whenever I see them. It makes me uncomfortable but there is nothing they have technically done to me. But I'd like to make it unpleasant for them to live there until they move. There are several reasons why they probably don't like living here, I'd just like to help them along and hopefully get a neighbor there who is less hostile towards me. They make me uneasy.

So now you want to give them justifiable reasons not to like you? OP you don’t sound particularly bright.

Are you kidding? There could be serious financial implications for having to move. Are they renters or do they own the apartment? You would cost someone at least thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars just because they annoy you?

If they do say something about you, it is probably true. Have the humility to at least consider AITA. I think you are.

I think OP sounds mentally ill.

Not PP but this is never going to work. Your a-hole racist neighbors will still be there when you move out. Stop devoting mental energy to them and just work towards finding a better living situation.

I am sorry for your predicament. I agree with PP.

Above you or below you? I need more information.

Right next door. Apartments are kind of railroad style so everything lines up-- living room next to living room, kitchen next to kitchen, first bedroom next to bedroom, etc.

Easy play "tennis" against the wall nothing in the lease against that!!!

If I felt that need, would move or seek mental health treatment.

Leave your gym shoes in the hall outside your door. Put up a bright sign on your door in a language they don’t know. Put out a door mat that will annoy them.
