Any specific examples (schools/stats)? Are they all “top 3 in class” type of kids which is what I’m gathering?

T25 Tier 1 kids have more than stats.

T25 Tier 2 have the stats and often $$$ to pay the asking price.

Is (obviously uw):
tier one 3.95+ (Ivy)
tier two 3.9 (Ivy /T10)
tier three 3.8 (T11-25)
tier four 3.7+ (t20-35)

Sound right?

This was not true in my son’s public. A number of students got into top schools RD. Columbia, Cornell, Yale, Princeton, Amherst, Berkeley, Rice, UMichigan. Others.

Sort of. With plenty of randomness around this. Enough randomness to make everyone uncertain about outcomes.
