Gerry's version of boring at least came with some modulation to the voice and expression to the face. Joan is very flat, both in voice and affect. It may be the surgery or maybe more, but it's not going to carry interest on visual/audio media. Not enough to carry a show. |
Faith is just as boring as Joan.
I think Leslie is the only one with enough energy and general appeal to men. Frankly I think they'd be best off finding someone completely new to the franchise. |
He was also active, into ATVs, pickle ball, rappelling. Joan doesn't seem active. |
Faith is active |
I don't think they'll risk alienating fans of the GB women by picking someone new. All the women have fans. They'll figure out which one has the best balance of being most popular with a general audience and with potential suitors, and go from there. Only a few harpies are saying they won't watch if X is selected (Leslie seems to be the target there). Most will give it a try, whomever is selected. I definitely will! |
Yes, somebody completely new might be good. I don't think Leslie's energy ("I slept with Prince, I can do lap dances, and I make horrible romantic choices!") appeals to a broad group of older men. I mean, sure, Gerry was tempted for a while, but ultimately he went with safe Theresa. Unless they get a lot of ancient horn dogs for bachelors, and then ewwwww. Do we really want all the men and drama to reside in the female lead? I personally would be depressed to watch a 60-something woman self-destruct on national TV. Or do we want the lead to be show us an active, interesting, and also mature 60-something, and we can watch the drama unfold among the guys. |
** Do we really want all the mess and drama to reside in the female lead.... I want to watch an inspiring older woman living her best life. Not doing lap dances with some guy she just met. |
I wouldn't count on that. We all agree some of our favorite bachelorettes (Susan, Nancy) might have fans, but they aren't great candidates for various reasons. They give Leslie Dancing With the Stars (she'd slay it), Faith goes back to her horses or they give her a gig on some nature show, Joan stays in Maryland. The door is wide open for someone new. |
Faith is a bit yeehaw for me, but she’s not boring. She has her own radio show, she’s outdoorsy, and she tries new things like riding that motorcycle on the first night. She rode it badly, but you can’t say it was boring. I just can’t watch Leslie give any more lap dances, sorry. I wish her the best, but does anybody think her melting down on national tv again would be good for the franchise or for Leslie herself? Maybe bring in someone new. |
True, and that’s good. Because her singing and horses would get old fast. She was so stiff on the date with Gerry though, not sure she actually does well outside her comfort zone. |
She's too country, would be very surprised if it's her. Gerry took one look at where she lived then was a quick "nope." |
Actually she said she was unwilling to move, and Gerry was pretty upset about it. |
Yes, because he didn't like where she lived. It was a non-starter for him. She's since said she would consider moving at least PT, as long as she could bring her horse. But that's still pretty limiting. |
It wouldn’t get as old as lap dances with a bunch of old horn dogs. |
Point is, he really seemed to be leaning towards Faith over the other two until the moving thing, contrary to what pp claimed. I never heard that about moving with the horse. I did get the impression she wasn’t willing to move for him specifically. |
