CYA All Stars - how are they chosen?

Wait until your kid gets to U11 and above. There are insane coaches who's lives revolve around CYA rec soccer. Go to Sully field on any given Saturday for a rec game and you can see how nuts these guys get and yell at children and other teams. No one is talking about 7 year olds bub.

I heard a cya coach used travel players in the Herndon all stars tournament last fall. I won’t mention names but it looks like cya is pretty messed up. All stars, valor tournament, dirty coaches… what the heck is going on with Cya?

What are the better rec programs that CYA loses kids to? We are not happy with their program.

Not SYA. SYA is terrible. The practice field our dc's team was put on was unsafe (full of holes, no lights, crowded with other teams).

I'm not sure what that has to do with older kids not playing at Sully? Every time we've been there it's been younger kids (probably K-3rd grade).

A lot of CYA parents have left for Herndon. CYA is only good if your kid is friends with the coaches kid.

We did SYA rec and CYA rec, both terrible. Ended up at Burke, much better.

Great Falls Reston has a really nice program too for those looking to leave CYA. We left CYA a while ago. All the parents at cya know who the BS that the coaches at pull.
