Puerto Rico? Not a local team with a Puerto Rican name but actually they flew here from there to play in a rec league tournament? What

Is the issue about taking video of his kid or is he using the video to dispute calls or scout opponents? Pretty standard that everyone takes pictures/videos of their kids so I assume there was more going on. |
Scout opponents for SFL games? LOL. |
I'm the PP that was filming the CYA 13G game with the Veo camera. There's nothing more to the story on my part. I was filming at Sully Highlands on the parent sideline at the midfield line well away from the touchline.
Yeah it's unusual that someone is filming a SFL game on a Veo, but I use it primarily for my other child's travel games, and if I'm going to spend that much out of pocket for it, I'm going to maximize the use. Also, having memories of your own sports games is a joy you can cherish forever. Even when the CYA Rec Director got on the phone with the CYA 13G Weber team to tell them filming was permitted and to look around at all the other people with cell phones, they stayed aggressively firm that they were in the right with their demands that I cease recording. "We do not consent" was repeated multiple times. Others have said that the team may have had travel players who shouldn't be on the team. |
Oh the only way they would care that much would be if they had fake players which some sfl teams love to try to get away with. |
That would be the only logical reason for such reactions. Hard to deny when you have photo/video as proof! |
Messi and Ronaldo kids soccer games are filmed by other parents, but CYA is so good that they "DO NOT CONSENT"? Ok Chantilly Karens! And they accuse Loudoun of what they do? Hypocrites! |
Nothing crazier than VA rec league soccer parents (esp. the girl parents!). Keep it going folks. Am enjoying this read during my lunch hour! |
I'm "that guy" on my kids' teams -- I just enjoy capturing video highlights (especially goals) and sharing them with the rest of the team. I started doing it years ago as a well to remain "zen" during games and not yell too much, and found I actually enjoy it. I don't watch professional sports, but a highlight reel of a kids team showing them playing with pure passion and love for the game can't be beat in my opinion! |
Chantilly is just an interesting convection point for cultures and many from there have that inferiority complex chip on shoulder. best to steer clear of angry unhappy people who watch their kids entitlement drifting away |
If you want things to change writing on DCUM isn't going to do a thing! The problem with CYA Soccer is that the give way too much power to the AGC of each division (Age Group Coordinator). They have full control over the division and CYA 2013G team coach is also the AGC. Last season enough people complained about the 2014G AGC and he is no longer there and the division is way better for it. People love to complain on this thread about this coach, but they offer no solutions. I encourage everyone that has an issue to write the CYA Director (CYADylan@ChantillyYouth.org or Soccer@ChantillyYouth.org) and detail everything that you think is wrong. I honestly believe that CYA is a good organization and that the higher ups want to do what is best. However, they need to know what is happening at the lower levels in order to implement positive change. The best thing we can do is shine a light on matter and not let incident after incident go unreported. |
Was CZ problematic? |
Move on folks. Tournament is over. |
Why? You guys are entertaining. Who knew girls rec soccer was so heated. |
Basketball too? |
