When I was in my ,20s, i ran maybe twice a week indoor and on the treadmill. No more than 3 miles each time. My shins would hurt during and afterwards. I'm 50 now and I run/ jog slowly. Neither my speed, duration nor distance or intensity changed much. But my shins don't hurt. And I feel my plantar fasciitis is less of a problem.
Sometimes, I also walk on the treadmill in an incline. |
I don't like the idea of chronically using sun screen. It seeps into your bloodstream. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/21/health/sunscreen-dangers-chemicals-bloodstream-wellness/index.html https://time.com/5583991/sunscreen-ingredients-absorbed-blood/ https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2759002?guestAccessKey=81a4a1e1-66d2-4f85-8d80-8d4d1aa1c56e&utm_source=For_The_Media&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=ftm_links&utm_content=tfl&utm_term=012120 https://www.fda.gov/news-events/fda-voices/shedding-more-light-sunscreen-absorption |
I'm 51 and have been a regular runner for my entire life and my joints are fine. But I don't run every day - I run 3-4 days/week and do weight training and other lower impact cardio on the other days. Plus yoga for stretching. |
I'm guessing you've never heard of zinc oxide. |
