But as a member of an international family, with nieces and nephews who are considering US colleges, I can GUARANTEE that your little provincial disputes about the comparative worth of Harvard vs other Ivies and top tier colleges means NOTHING. The majority of the world still views Ivies exactly as before.

Interesting use of the Midwestern yeah no there.

There are plenty of other prestigious universities and there will still be folks applying to Harvard from every other corner of the world. Heck, it's a little bit like real estate. Harvard has a nice location and it's clear, especially in this generation, that youth like schools in nice locations.

Applications were down 17 percent at Harvard this year. And that was before all the issues.They will take another hit next year.

People don't really give a damn about Harvard anymore. Particularly not young people.

I can’t imagine anyone not applying because of the Israel-Hamas stuff. They are not applying because admissions rates are too low and the tuition is too expensive for donut hole families so “what’s the point?”
