No, my husband is a Dr. so the right way is women and children first. That's what he tells all his patients. |
+1 OMG with camping out at the sites for Insta, in matching outfit hoards. |
| I'm convinced that there should physical fitness requirements for the exit rows. Just on a flight where the passenger sitting next to the window of the exit row looked like they couldn't lift 5lbs, let alone a 30-lb exit door. |
| I believe we would come together to get off the plane safely. Nobody is getting a carryon when a plane is filling with smoke. |
| I imagine it would be something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO8N3L_aERg |
No! Please do not do this! |
NP. I have been on a similar flight where someone had a medical emergency and they were taken to a waiting ambulance when we landed. We all waited, of course we did. This was year ago though. Everything has gotten worse since the pandemic. Have people not started to recover at all yet and return to civility? |
Why not? First class gets off first, then if there's time, steerage. This is a proven strategy. |
Bot so sure, but I hope you are right. When we were boarding and people were taking too long with their carry on and their stuff, some of the passengers started yelling "let's GO!!!" to get them to move along. Some people have no qualms about trying to hold up the entire plane. Also, some people are selfish, stunted idiots whose parents did not love them, so they have to try to prove a point - what, I don't know. |
| 100% no |
*Not so sure, Anyway, you would surprised how many grown adults are incapable of getting their sh&t together, and prioritizing what is important. |
Right, but in these situations, there is only one person experiencing an emergency. In a whole-plane emergency, there are going to be a lot of people who think they are more deserving of getting off the plane earlier than other people, or that their hand baggage is more important and therefore they are the exception to the group behavior standards that result in order. It's fairly easy to wait your turn when there's nothing but your own convenience riding on it and someone else is having an emergency. |
Did anyone mumble about checking for an actual medical emergency? |
We would all be dead for sure. We were talking about this yesterday. |
Also there were a lot of New Yorkers on that flight. They can be in your face about stuff but are the first to reach out a helping hand. The way people come together in citywide crises is incredible. |
