It’s fear mongering. All weight loss comes with varying amounts of muscle loss. You can’t lose just fat and no lean mass with a calorie deficit. You can preserve as much lean mass as possible with strength training and proper macronutrients.

If you restricted your calories enough to lose 1-3 pounds a week without Ozempic you’d lose just as much muscle.


No. Studies show more significantly muscle loss on Ozempic compared to others losing the same amount of weight without it.

Weight the upsides and downsides before doing it.

Agree. Mine is $500/month for 1.0 and drops to $300 for .5. This is from a doctors office, so the downside is I need to go in once a week.

Not if you monitor your muscle mass regularly with a body composition scale and eat high amounts of protein. I've gained muscle while losing almost 40 pounds with the help of Wegovy, a high-protein weight-loss diet, and regular strength training.
