I feel like if you have to ask this question, then you're a little bit basic? Maybe a little too try hard? I, personally, prefer to have unique pieces. These are the ones where if you know anything at all about jewelry, you can tell just by looking at them that they are well made, excellent craftsmanship, and quality materials. In my mind, that's the true definition of IYKYK.

Your version is "if you watch a lot of instagram reels and read some fashion mags, you'll know" LOL

I have an understated yellow gold-citrine ring by Marco Bicego. It’s not flashy in the least, but I’ve received compliments on it in the past, so it doesn’t go completely unnoticed.

+1. Those pieces are cringey AF.

Everyone and their aunt and their sister and their daughter wear this.

Serious question- really? I’ve only seen one other Trinity piece on someone in real life- my kid’s pulmonologist wore one as a wedding ring. For all the fussing about the Love line, I’ve only seen two in the wild- one was a necklace and the other the bracelet.

I just have your basic outside the Beltway Fairfax County life, though.

And here’s another thought—once you put something out on the internet, people are going to respond in any way they wish.

NP. Yes. Exactly. And you got good advice here -- to learn to subvert that desperation to comment (run your mouth) and move on.

yeah this is a better way to be for sure lol

I get what you are saying, but Cartier and Tiffany are hardly the jewelry equivalent of The Cheesecake Factory.

They cater to the masses. The good Cartier and Tiffany jewelry is not what’s on the first floor, if you know what I mean. If you are paying those prices for .925 silver, you are insane.

Well not insane, just ignorant. But you make a good point. The smartest thing Tiffany ever did was get into the business of selling 1 carat (and even smaller) diamond engagement rings. In order to survive, they needed a much, much broader customer base -- and so they hit MC and LMC folks who would (I think stupidly) pay the premium just to have the ring come in the blue box. The "masses" as you say could then afford being able to buy something at Tiffany and Tiffany could make huge amounts of money with all of the customers who could suddenly afford a piece from there. All of that silver heart-tag bracelet stuff followed, to much success for Tiffany, because they figured out that the "masses" wanted everyone else to know they were wearing Tiffany (I have nothing against it -- I have one of those bracelets someone gave me years ago and I loved it but haven't worn it in like 20 yrs, and I have an olive leaf ring in the silver that I like as well). They've played up to the MC label-obsessed folks brilliantly. That said, it is nice jewelry, it's just overpriced for what it is and therefore aimed at folks who aren't knowledgable about jewelry quality and price, and love labels (which, yeah, yuck, but lots of people do).

I'm PP, and I have a basic inside-the-beltway FFX life. And I've seen more Trinity stuff than I could count. In numbers right up there with that horrifically basic Alhambra line.

OP, in the world of social media, nothing is IYKYK anymore.

I remember back in 2017/2018 deciding that I wanted to buy myself a VCA bracelet for a milestone birthday. At that time, there were MAYBE 10 you tube videos on VCA generally - compared to thousands for Speedys, Classic Flaps, etc. I bought it and it’s since really really blown up. It’s only a matter of time for everything.
