These dogs were being starved. Why aren't you blaming the humans? Any large starving dog would attack and eat you!

That’s not in the article. Do you have any proof?

It actually says it right in the article linked above... not sure what you are reading.

This was in the article: Did you not read it?

"These dogs was very vicious and hungry. These dogs were eating him like a piece of steak," said the victim's sister, Sharese Jackson.

DP. I don't take that to mean they were being neglected or underfed. Maybe they were, maybe they weren't. The poor man's sister is not an objective reporter.

And no, any starving dog would not attack and eat a person. What a thing to think!

No, I read it, I’m just marveling that you read that and that you think that literally means that the dogs were hungry. The witness was talking about how violent and aggressive these dogs were. Just like if someone were to say that a guy was eyeing a woman “like she was a piece of meat,” it doesn’t mean he’s hungry and he’s going to eat her.

It literally means that the dogs were tearing chunks from that poor man’s body.

I am 100% anti pit bull but you don't need the "still another" in your title. "A pit bull attack" is enough.

I am 100% confident that my golden retriever would lie down in the corner and die if he was starving, rather than tear my flesh from my body. He might eat things like the shoes.

Amstaffies can be 70 lbs and American bullies can be up to 120 lbs. A pit bull can be 100 lbs.

I didn't know this. I'm the person who has a 70 pound Pyrenees cross and I questioned whether a pit bull could be so big.

Most of the dogs I know who are called pit bulls are around 40-50 pounds. A dog that size could still do some serious damage. I can't imagine why anyone would want an enormous pit bull.

You have a very small great Pyrenees cross.
A male great Pyrenees weighs 100 pounds or more and a female great Pyrenees weighs 85 pounds or more

And for a pitbull, it could be whatever it is crossed with that makes it bigger. If it's crossed with a Rottweiler it can easily be more than 100 pounds as a male Rottweiler usually weighs between 95 and 135 pounds and a female between 80 and 100.

Using the weight of the dog as a reason to say no, it does not have pit in it, is a false argument.

Thanks, this was interesting

Reading fail. Just because you don't take it as being starved most people do.

Also, when it suits your purpose you discount eyewittness...

Dp. This is true but all you people treat 1 percent pit bull just as " dangerous" as purebred

OP. This is the third such thread. Adding “still another” was an attempt to slightly differentiate this thread for searching purposes from the previous locked threads.

For a while pit bulls mauling people wasn’t so common and we discussed them on a case by case basis. They’re now often enough that a mega thread is probably a better idea.
