Right to return. Treat property rights the same way we treat property stolen during WWII. Israel brags about being a democracy, take them up on it- one person one vote |
I asked before, what does the right to return mean? Who does it apply to? |
In order to achieve peace, the right of return for Palestinians to return to their original pre 1948 properties (tax free of course) along with full political, social and civil rights must be guaranteed. |
Refugees registered by the UN. Fortunately lots of families kept their deeds, so recovering the houses they were forced out of should be easy |
Two contiguous states is probably the right way to go. They would need to partition Jerusalem, too. Jordan is pretty good at keeping a lid on the extremist elements. |
So who gets the rights, the families who where there pre-1948? Or the ones who have been there the last 5, 10, or 20 years? |
Except they don't. They might in two generations but they don't right now. |
It’s basically unconditional citizenship and reparations for Palestinian refugees and their descendants. Palestinians insist on it for any kind of peace plan. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_right_of_return#:~:text=The%20Palestinian%20right%20of%20return,property%20they%20themselves%20or%20their |
Encourage secularization of the populace. |
You can't. All you can do is try to minimize the harm and hope that once Hamas is eliminated future generations of Palestinians won't have to live this way. |
Look at a map and the try to find any other political subdivision let alone nation with as little geographic continuity as the West Bank (this is ignoring Gaza all together). It’s hard to pretend it’s a country when you have to cross multiple foreign borders to travel from one city to the next. Also, two states has never really been on the table. Even the negotiations under Clinton never offered a real state to Palestinians at least in the sense that a state controls their own borders and airspace has a right to set their own foreign policy and a right to defend their borders |
Israelis are like 95% secular. Next idea? |
Palestinian Christian’s control it |
This is a sure fire way to get all the Jews there murdered. Two state solution, assuming the Palestinians can keep extremism in check. |
