She truly is. She touted the fact that kids could lose extracurricular activities and be sent to an alternative school as "serious consequences" that should deter other kids from following in their footsteps.

She obviously doesn't know any actual teenagers or pre-teens if she thinks that's scaring any of them.

At a recent town hall someone asked about the increase in armed carjackings by teens and Mink said maybe we need to improve bus service so that teens don’t need to steal cars to get home… I wish I was making that up but she really said it.

Which party does she belong to: democrat or republican ?

I would think her answer and her shaved head hairstyle give her away, but she’s a Democrat. An extremely progressive woke liberal Democrat.

There are no elected Republicans in Montgomery County and there haven’t been for 20 years. There are moderate Democrats (Andrew Friedson), mainstream liberal Democrats (Evan Glass), left-populists (Marc Elrich) and the woke left (Kristin Mink)

A lot of kids steal cars for joy rides and the thrill not because there isn't good public transportation or even for money. That's a whole lot of stupidity regardless of political party.

I am shocked they don’t see the parallel between juvenile crimes rising and schools declining.

They had a school to prison pipeline task force that developed a bunch of recommendations that were implemented and this is the result: declining schools and increasing juvenile crime. Of course they are now going to pretend that the two are not linked.
We need liberal solutions (with a dash of conservatism) to these problems. As long as progressives are in charge nothing can be fixed because they don't see the world as it is; they see it as they wished it was. For instance, there is no school to prison pipeline. There's a crappy home life and crappy neighborhood to prison pipeline. Progressives expect schools to save these kids and that's simply impossible so they blame the schools. It's time to start leaving some children behind so we actually can help the ones who want to be helped.

Perhaps, but carjacking with a gun isn't for a joy ride.

Yup! This is the truth.

What makes you say that, her crazy eyes, side buzz-cut, or the insane things she says?
