At a recent town hall someone asked about the increase in armed carjackings by teens and Mink said maybe we need to improve bus service so that teens don’t need to steal cars to get home… I wish I was making that up but she really said it.

This woman is a not a serious person. How did anyone vote for her?

Never elect a professional activist. I think a lot of people in her Woodmoor neighborhood voted for her without really doing their research. Hopefully they won’t make that mistake again.

I sincerely hope they don’t make that same mistake but I don’t give them a whole lot of credit. Does anybody know what the feeling is like in her neighborhood and in her district?

Everyone’s frightened by the crime crisis but most are afraid to say anything publicly for fear of being called racist. That’s my take and I live in Woodmoor.

Which is why more black and brown people need to speak out about crime. Cause whenever there's a white face leading the charge, they get tarred with the racist label. And black and brown people are far more often the victims of violent crime anyway, so they should be speaking out the most and pushing back against white liberal anti-law enforcement policies and agendas.

It is a lie and a myth that all black hate police. Yes, most black people hate mistreatment and abuse by police, but you’ll also find black want police to protect and guard their neighborhoods because they’re living in fear in their own communities.

White liberals use legitimate gripes about police brutality to make it seem like all black people are against all police. But that’s not true.

The mother of the son who was shot at Magruder HS is suing MCPS because they removed SROs from the school and she believes if an SRO had been there, her son would not have been shot. But MCPS and Will Jawando will have you believing all black parents are against SROs because we’re all anti-police due to publicized cases of police brutality.

I recently escaped from Woodmoor and it if full of the biggest mouthed, mean people that bully everyone not in their cliques. It is truly hateful. They have regular "woke-offs" on the local listserv and if you dare disagree with the current absurdity, the moderator mutes you.

That's really concerning. It's obvious she's in an echo chamber. She steered the conversation to be all about juvenile treatment without even touching the fact that there are some teens who are wreaking havoc on their neighborhoods and truly hurting people. Usually people who don't have sufficient resources. People are actually getting hurt. People are living in fear. People are losing their property (cars), when they don't have many assets to begin with. Mink lives a very privileged, sheltered life. Rent control doesn't stop guns and carjackings.
