my teen kids told me that all the teens in their school think RJ is a joke. Do these people who come up with sh1t like this know teens at all? |
Which is why more black and brown people need to speak out about crime. Cause whenever there's a white face leading the charge, they get tarred with the racist label. And black and brown people are far more often the victims of violent crime anyway, so they should be speaking out the most and pushing back against white liberal anti-law enforcement policies and agendas. |
When you bring this up, RJ advocates say it's just because we haven't spent enough money to "implement it correctly." |
That does exist, my nephew was kicked out. |
| Natali Fani-Gonzalez is the only serious person on the council who speaks in real-world terms and plain language. |
She gets it. Because she knows how the vast majority of residents are law abiding and in some areas of her district, they are effectively being held hostage by the few but very dangerous kids doing horrible stuff. The kid who shot and killed someone at Wheaton Metro went to Magruder. Why is nobody talking about the real violence some kids are committing??? |
Whaaat... way to misunderstand the cycle of violence. Black and brown communities have been talking about deplorable violence for ages. Cops beating kids for minor offenses or kneeling on necks aren't gonna make them friends of those communities any time soon. |
I think you have lost the plot if you think police violence is more prevalent than the "ordinary" type. |
Why are you bringing up police brutality, which happens far less often, than the kind of violence, theft and murder that occurs within our community by people from our community all the time? Don’t change the topic. |
pp did that by saying anti police funding is a white liberal construct, you jerks. |
The problem is everyone only sees the problems left over from yesterday's solutions, without understanding the problems that yesterday's solutions solved. Same story with involuntary mental health treatment. I'm glad they're finally starting to understand |
You don't need to be the parent of a teen to know this is straight batsh!t crazy. I still cannot believe she was voted in by you fools. |
It is a lie and a myth that all black hate police. Yes, most black people hate mistreatment and abuse by police, but you’ll also find black want police to protect and guard their neighborhoods because they’re living in fear in their own communities. White liberals use legitimate gripes about police brutality to make it seem like all black people are against all police. But that’s not true. The mother of the son who was shot at Magruder HS is suing MCPS because they removed SROs from the school and she believes if an SRO had been there, her son would not have been shot. But MCPS and Will Jawando will have you believing all black parents are against SROs because we’re all anti-police due to publicized cases of police brutality. It’s a white liberal fallacy and they’re weaponizing it and it’s hurting our own communities. |
I recently escaped from Woodmoor and it if full of the biggest mouthed, mean people that bully everyone not in their cliques. It is truly hateful. They have regular "woke-offs" on the local listserv and if you dare disagree with the current absurdity, the moderator mutes you. It is a true echo chamber. Mink fits in that group like a glove. |
That's really concerning. It's obvious she's in an echo chamber. She steered the conversation to be all about juvenile treatment without even touching the fact that there are some teens who are wreaking havoc on their neighborhoods and truly hurting people. Usually people who don't have sufficient resources. People are actually getting hurt. People are living in fear. People are losing their property (cars), when they don't have many assets to begin with. Mink lives a very privileged, sheltered life. Rent control doesn't stop guns and carjackings. |
