OP is already in a heathy, not overweight zone. I promise, if you are not overweight and lose 10 vanity pounds at 40, you will see it in your face. Your body will look better, but yes it will add 5+ yrs to your face. |
So what does your daily eating look like? Eggs, steak, steak? |
I just started the Scarsdale diet. Bringing back the 70's ! It has been working like a charm. |
Everything in moderation. I eat 1-2 slices of good bread a day. For breakfast I’ll have a slice of whole grain nut bread toast with sardines or nut butter or soft boiled egg or avocado mash instead of butter with berries and coffee. On alternating days I have oatmeal or another non-toast breakfast, then for lunch I’ll make a sourdough panini with grilled turkey, vegan pesto or olive tapenade and a salad or veggie soup. Dinner is fish, chicken, pork, or tofu with lots of veggies and maybe couscous or sweet potatoes or brown rice. Snacks are almond milk lattes or yogurt with granola and fruit or hummus and carrots or cheese and fruit or sometimes a cookie or other treat. 5’8”, 130 pounds, and 50 years old. |
Bread loving PP again. I forgot to mention that I average 1500-1600 calories a day (I think), lift weights 3-4x/week and take yoga class 1-2x/week. |
Read up on what body type you have. Certain body types do not require alot of burning carbs but lifting.
But, if you life too much with a certain body type, your weight are in your muscles, that could keep your numbers up. It isn't a bad thing but check on your body type. |
Not. Really, really not. It's just that health issues will show up later, and you will argue that there is no causal relationship. |
Do it the easy way: Halve your carb intake. It's just a visual eyeball of your plate. No weighing, no counting calories. This is what I did, and it worked for me. I'm in my 40s. It did not visibly age my face, contrary to what some posters are concerned about. |
Weight Watchers. Just join and download the app (it was $10/month for me). I’m dieting for the first time in my life (40 years old) because I’ve put on a few pounds and it’s not coming off the way it has before. It’s pretty easy and it’s helping me make better choices. |
There aren't going to be health issues from 5'7" and 148 lbs, which is well within normal BMI. |
You could maybe get an arm amputated. They weigh like 10 pounds. |
