I have never heard a straight man describe himself this way.

You śound a lot like my neighbor. He's an introvert and his extrovert wife left after the kids were launched. She found a new boyfriend quickly and is happy - and he met someone too, also quickly. They seem happy too. Neighbor met his new partner online.

I think OP speaks English as a second language. Not a troll.

As a foreigner, I really think that OP's writing level places him above such faux-pas as "beautiful and muscular physique". I think this turn of phrase reveals a disconcerting mindset, more than it does a misunderstanding of English usage.

There is a reason his wife left him. This little sign may be the tip of the iceberg.

The food messes all around, the lack of speaking or communicating, the iPhone and screen addiction, the ignoring of the kids, the constant “oh I have to work then,” the broken appliances and opened packaging (ie garbage) everywhere.

Re: is your wife “emotionally happy”

Well if she isn’t and provides you the valid reasons she’s not happy (messes, poor comms, poor parenting, etc.), what are most men going to do? Improve themselves? Or argue that they’re somehow spectacular because they took the garbage out yesteday?

OP take dance classes. That will take you out of your shell very quickly.

Since Op apparently works out a lot and has a beautiful physique, all the women and trainers at the gym will be elated to know Op is on the market.

I can tell you that as a amateur bodybuilder I don’t attract more women compared to the average guy. If I had a personality, I would have had better luck.

This is so true. I am an introvert like OP and my therapist recommended I take dance classes. I’m yet to sign up because I just can’t follow directions when it comes to dancing I am too tense and over analyze my moves lol. You would think with a PhD in Physics I could follow basic dance steps nope lol

A painting class, a cooking class, a sport like tennis where you are with someone but not really talking, etc. You cannot expect a woman to be your entire social support system, and you need to figure out how to be alone without being lonely before you will be ready to meet anyone new. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh--I know you are hurting right now--but you asked for advice and that is what I recommend. It will be hard for a while, but you will wind up a more fulfilled person and a better partner if you invest in yourself, your kids, and your social network now, instead of looking for a replacement for your wife.

Play tennis. It's fun as hell and you meet lots of people.
