They were all around 13th and I. If I worked late, I was asked to get a security escort to the metro.

The epicenter was actually 14th above and below Thomas Circle. There was some spillover to Logan Circle, but Logan used to be more so where there was a lot of hardcore drugs addicts. And obviously there was probably a very strong connection between sex work and drug addiction.

usually that's a different category of prostitute/john

Not really. A prostitute is a prostitute.

Why do you think they have jobs? Who is really to blame here?

"Ugh johns are back in Logan Circle" is something OP could have said, yet didn't.

What’s to look forward to? Nothing is going to change. Dems are winning the presidency next year, regardless of who they run.

So why look forward to 2025? Unless you’re moving to FL or TX I guess.

And the early 2000s too. I had a job where I had to be in at 5:30 a.m. sometimes and they would still be out on K near 14th (around the park there) at that time.

I started at my current job on L in 2011 and I'd see some then if I got in before 7. I haven't seen them in a while, but once I had a kid I stopped getting in that early.

I'm pretty sure this is the oldest profession, so voting has nothing to do with it. As long as there are men, there is sex work.

The Bowser administration is more kleptocratic and dysfunctional than any administration since Barry’s.

It is an interesting juxtaposition that Bowser’s core supporters are white residents in Wards 3 and 4 who are taking DC back to those times. While residents in Wards 7 and 8 have been pretty clear eyed about Bowser and have been done with her for a long time.

Barry was dysfunctional, but I never accusations of corruption against him.
