I have seen them fairly cheap too, but they are pretty terrible eggs. Once you have eggs with orange yolks and thick whites, it’s hard to go back. I pay $12 for an 18 pack, Vital Farms. They’re the best commercially available eggs I’ve had, by far, including Farmers Market eggs.

Same. I make my own baked goods and crackers but besides lentils I just can't with beans. And canned are not that expensive if you look for deals. Not a hill I'm tackling. Yet.

The cage free ones are $5/doz and I've seen duck eggs for $12/doz

If you raise your own, they'd be equivalent to the fancier pasture raised eggs

We have cut back. We mostly shop at Aldi but even their prices are slowly inching up. I noticed last Saturday that a pound of Aldi 96/4 ground beef was $8.79 where it had been running in the $6 range for ages.

We started baking more treats. We no longer buy name-brand cookies, snack cakes, or chips. I'm sorry, but 2/$9 is NOT a sale. I went to a football party last night and it pained me to pay $9 for 2 bags of Tostitos! I could have gotten 8 bags of Aldi brand tortilla chips for $9.

It's not been terrible, tbh. We eat a home more and are heating healthier, overall. We have more meatless meals and the kids are really enjoying expanding their food interests.

My uncle owns a local restaurant. He was telling us how each time he places an order, the food prices are higher and higher. He's eliminated some dishes from his menu because there's no profit margin without raising the price of the dish. He tried that and so few people ordered it that they had a lot of waste. Also, the owner of the shopping complex where his restaurant is located gave notice to him that the rent will raise $3k over the next 2 years.

Yes to chips. But a very difficult thing to replace. Easy to cut back and we have been doing that in general, but eliminate? What's a good substitute?
