Seriously. Really when it comes down to it, its selfish. I wonder how many times over the years the boys program has strung nets for the girls teams, moved goals, bought equipment, lined fields (pre turf), etc...

BUT when the boys were in need this year for some help, the State Champions couldn't find the time to step up and help out. Great morals being instilled in the young ladies, by really caring girls parents/coaches.

Its sad.

Any ideas why the boys side appears to be cancelled?

Some dork posted in the on one of the girls threads about getting the girls to come out for fall ball, fall brawl and indoors and he or she was dead on. On the boys side it’s sounding much worse.
If the boys side is canceled it’s on the parents and the players (boys and the girls) for not volunteering. It’s on the other teams for not signing up to play. It’s on the other team’s parents (me included) for not volunteering to help.
It’s sticktime, it’s fun and it’s pretty darn cheap. Sad if it is indeed canceled for the boys.

How would other teams sign up if the event wasnt available to sign up for? From my understanding all schools wanted to participate. It was communicated that the tournament directors (who whoever runs the TSO) werent able to do so this year (for the BOYS) due to personal reasons.

If this is true, which it sounds like it may be, then that is even more of a black eye on the Oakton Girls Program and Boosters for not stepping up to help in a time of need. Embarrassing.

This post has degenerated into total ridiculousness. I love it! I hope it really was an adult blaming the girls team and boosters for the boys event being cancelled (and not a teenage troll). If so, could you to come over to my house for a beer? You are solid gold entertainment!

Maybe who ever is complaining should find themselves a field, grab some boys, and get something together one of these upcoming weekends cause it just seems sooo easy....

actually that is happening. if your team is part of it, you will hear something soon.

It's surprising because I think the tourney is/was a fundraiser for the Oakton program. Even if the director couldn't lead it this year, you would think at least the other coaches or AD or parent group would step in.
