No tip = impersonal, slow service, with a dash of mild contempt

| But you won't know until after I leave |
I never worked a tipped job and didn’t know this. I thought bartenders were all tipped jobs. |
Everyone on staff will know before you're out the door. Your name is on your credit card. |
Unless you're a regular, they're not going to remember you. It doesn't matter if they have your name; they don't see it until the end of your meal. Restaurants are busy and wait staff turns over. |

Good. I'm tired of tipping everyone and everyone deserves to make at least minimum wage.
Will still tip a bit extra for good service when I eat out but more like 10%. |
The point is tipped workers have been making more than minimum wage, if they are good at their job. |
They still will. Plenty of people will still tip, but probably a little less. That’s how it should be: an extra for the excellent service, not an expectation to pay their wages. |
Yep. And it's a LOT more...like 2 to 10 times more in some cases. The only people who want this are bad servers and the DSA (who was the driving force behind the DC bill and might be behind the MoCo bill as well). |
