Good luck! You can totally do it. Now that you know it’s all about habits, you can reset if you slip up after the holidays or whatever. Junk food is addictive. |
I would:
Cut out all alcohol, added sugar, and bread and pasta Drink only water and plain coffee/tea Increase steps as much as possible and do short HIIT workouts (10-15 minutes) 3-4x a week Focus on eating pretty much just vegetables and protein IF you follow this you would lose weight pretty quickly, for sure |
Yes, just eat 7 almonds or cut your calorie intake IN HALF. No big deal. I ate more than most of the women on this thread are suggesting when I was anorexic and maintaining 88 pounds at 5'4. |
+1 Keto. I find eating out to be easy -- protein and veggies, burgers without the bread, nuts or olives or cheese for snacks. Skip any beverages with calories. So just water, zero calorie seltzer, diet coke. The occasional rum and diet coke or similar if you must have a drink. |
I have lost almost 20 pounds recently.
My advice is to join weight watchers online and do it religiously. Track everything. And don't use weekly points or activity points, but eat a lot of zero-point foods like fruit, eggs, etc. Try to skip breakfast and eat for the first time after 11 am. But eat a really healthy meal and don't overdo it. I do agree that carbs/sugar etc are bad but WW will make it real clear that those foods will do you in. But the good thing is, if you do have a whole wheat hamburger bun or something, you can track it and adjust for the rest of the day and not just give in to eating whatever, whenever. Good luck! You can do it but it will require being hungry a lot, especially if you are already a pretty healthy eater who doesn't drink a lot of alcohol. |
I started perimenopause at 41 and yeah, I couldn't do this. I'm on team "buy something that makes you feel hot and get out there," but kudos to anyone who can drop weight that quickly. |
