downgrade version of Lehigh

Really?
How do you rank the 3?

DP

Bucjnell
Lehigh
Colgate

In that order — but Lewisburg is truly dire

Best school in this bunch is Colgate by a mile.

No, not really

Bucknell stem is way stronger than Colgate

Bucknell places in finance stronger than Colgate

What program is stronger at Colgate?

Much better reputation in Wall Street analyst recruiting at Colgate. Bucknell not even listed.

According to this BYU and PSU are better than any three of these schools?

BYU has great placement in a lot of fields.

Well, most students at BYU are already in the LDS Church, so they already have access to the huge network of opportunities offered by the Church.

Plus they have to do mission work, so they are already fluent in foreign languages.

BYU is therefore an excellent school but sui generis.

Very

And if your student has zero interest in Wall Street of business? Then how would you rank them?

Anonymous wrote:It's probably similar to a lot of other SLACs. Small class sizes, only professors teaching classes (I think this is big advantage compared to what I see at the R1 where I work). I have friends who work here and other SLACs on the east coast.
A lot of privileged kids, a lot of obnoxious/frat kids, a lot of quirky kids, a lot of really nice grounded kids, and a lot of really bright and clever kids - just like most SLACs on the east coast.

Sorry, but I do not believe any of your posts. As always, I ask that you please name the R1 research university where you allegedly work. And, as always, you will not respond.

Our son is a sophomore studying Mech E and Art and Design. He absolutely loves the school, and is active in club sports and the multiple maker space offerings. The campus really is quite stunning and has good proximity to DC. The best advice I can offer is to find a school that will enable your child to thrive academically while also having fun. It may not be Bucknell, but if it is, Go Bison! Good luck everyone!
