| Middle of nowhere. Was impressed by the school on paper and we visited recently. DS was turned off by the location and 'did not feel it'. Would of course be different for diff. kids. |

Front office sales jobs or middle office. Back office admin jobs are for Brooklyn College and Hofstra. |

I have also seen many II ranked analysts over the years who were Bucknell grads. |

| Big drinking culture and the area is truly down and out. Fracking has made things worse. Money has come into the area, but it's mostly guys coming from other oil areas to work and drink. |

| My very bright daughter graduated from there in 2018. Lots of very smart kids, wonderful internships, smaller classes, involved professors that went out to eat with students. No TAs teaching classes. Lots of professor attention and interaction. My kid did exceptional research there. Excellent merit and financial aid that made our family, with teacher parents, able to afford it. Almost everyone lives on campus, not tons of building new building constantly going on. Plenty to do on campus, my kid loved the small town. My kid not a party or into Greek life at all, and was very happy. Had no trouble finding her tribe. When we took the tour, both parents and kid felt immediately that this was the right place, which had not happened at other school tours. For my kid, it was terrific. |

As a Lehigh grad happy to see that but I consider Colgate half a tier above. Didn't care for Bucknell when I visited- had dismissed Lehigh but drove through on a whim and fell in love, truly beautiful campus although it has changed some over the past few years. Bucknell just gave a blah vibe with both campus and students. |

I get your comment. But, for example, my kid goes to Cornell. There is definitely a mix of both there. Plenty of artsy LGBTQ+ and liberal kids. And plenty of business/finance bro, frat types. And of course nerdy engineering types. It actually is a nice, diverse crowd in that way. Maybe because it is a bigger school compared with SLACs. |
