Was just clued into this existing thread. Curious as to this group's views on the questions below.
So, St James is losing Kristen Carr--to the Towson HC opportunity? Respect the decision to go to a great coaching opportunity, but that was fast. What does that mean for the St James program, especially as they try to bring MC Elite into the fold and improve the quality of the MS and HS teams this year? Will St James just try to buy Capital Lacrosse Club now and make what appears to be a deepening relationship official? |
STJ already tried to but Capital. It didn’t work out. Gussie isn’t going to sell. She has a major brand now. |
Maybe CLC owner becomes STJ head of lacrosse and brings CLC? I don’t know if that makes sense, but maybe? CLC will unlikely exist in its current form in 5-10 years. There are too many competitive threats. They will get bought by another club, extend to middle school or buy another club. I also don’t see how BLC doesn’t consider expanding into HS girls similar to the Baltimore area clubs. They now have competitive teams that would like to stay together. BLC could increase the fees for HS teams and have paid coaches. My understanding is that BLC didn’t always fields teams into middle school and MCE filled that gap. MCE took that for granted and BLC expanded. |
| I've heard rumors of Stars identifying a replacement (from the outside) for KC. Anyone know who it is or what he/she brings to the program? |
