3/3: Brains, money AND beauty. My daughters understand hypergamy already. Like attracts like, and I have no doubt that they will marry well (and graduate from great schools). How do you think they were born into wealth (and brains and beauty)? If only you were as well situated as my daughters. Oh well. |
You need to go back and reread the posts. My daughter does NOT attend NCS (that’s another poster). She attends a coed Big 3. We’re also full pay. And she doesn’t just have private school boys after her—the public school boys are interested as well. I don’t care if you believe me. I’m not here to convince you or anyone else. |
Yet you still replies. Yawn. |
OP here is your answer. More concerned about good looks and family wealth than achievement. |
Yet you’re still replying to my replies [shrug]. |
| This thread is so disturbing. I kind of thought holy child was this way - priming girls to marry Brett Kavanaugh types - but this just confirms it. How sad. |
| My daughter will be a freshman at HC this year / she got into “better schools” that you all are mentioning but really loved the vibe at HC. Because they are so small they can really cater to the students and the girls seemed very happy to her. The teachers also seemed to her to be very invested and she remarked on the connections they had with the students. For us, we want our daughter to be academically challenged of course but most importantly want her to be happy and confident ☺️ |

Whoever is painting the HC girls as vapid but wealthy blondes is NOT doing the school any favors, and their posts drip with misogyny.
Two of my neighbors have daughters there, and both of them are very kind girls. I don’t know anything else about the school, but at least a few of the girls aren’t snobby. |
| This proves my theory that mean girls never really grow up. I bet no men are commenting on this thread. |
There are girls you “date,” and there are girls you marry. You make HC girls sound like the former. |
| How does Holy Cross compare? I get a different vibe from them. |
Hope she’s cute! |
| This thread is drenched in misogyny and gross. And in no way reflects the truth about any of the schools mentioned here. |
You must not know much about elite boarding schools. St. George's does not belong anywhere near the HADES schools. |

This is by far one of the most disturbing and toxic threads I’ve seen on DCUM. And as we all know, there have been a fair share of toxic and disturbing threads over the years.
The opinions, assumptions and generalizations about high school girls say more about the people posting than about the girls and their families. It is my understanding that parents send their children to private schools to support their academic success, their intellectual growth and their social-emotional development. We all do our best for our kids. Some of us have bigger budgets to work with. If you are considering a private school for your child, visit the school and get real information. Then take time to meet some of actual students and parents IN PERSON. Let your child shadow a student for at least a day. For the people spewing crap about teenagers and their families on here - take a look at yourselves and be a better example for your own kids. |
