Which U.S. Presidents had genuinely good, solid marriages?

Pointless thread. What does any of this speculation (which is all it is) have to do with politics?

Lol. Nope. Obama was always faithful.

+1 I admire them very much.

Do you admire the image of Obamas created by media or their actual life? Because those are two different things. I am not saying that what they do in their personal life is morally wrong, but it is definitely not your exemplary Christian family.

What aspect of their personal life is not Christian enough for you?

Regarding Obama's supposed cheating, are you referring to the one former girlfriend that Garrow claims he continued seeing even after he began dating Michelle? Because even if that's true, that's not cheating on his wife.

I don't use Christian families as my example.

Then the OP should define what "good, solid" marriage means. Because for some people having multiple partners and open relationships is a good marriage. That is why we are getting different answers here. I do believe Obamas have a good strong marriage.

In what universe Bill and Hillary's marriage defined as a good marriage?

The are upholding the "till death do us part" portion. Also, when push comes to shove, they relentlessly back each other.

They weathered the bad times. Isn’t that what marriage is supposed to be?

In the same universe that Donald and Melania have a good one. They are all getting something they need out of the marriage.

Who said that Donald and Melania's marriage is a good marriage? I thought the PPP placed it in the very bottom of the list.

Daddy Bush was absolutely NOT the good guy everybody thinks he was.

Answer to this question is the Carters, then the Obamas/Bidens/Bush Jrs (and that pains me to say)

The Clintons have been through some stuff. Had she not been First Lady with her own ambitions, though, pretty sure she would have left him.

I was ranking them comparatively. You'll note that there is only one below theirs. That said, I think Bill and Hillary's relationship is a mix of good and bad. Bill is a cheater, I can't tell how much affection they really have for one another, and there's definitely a business like arrangement involved. But, I think there is at least some affection, and I think they have a great deal of respect for one another's abilities. They've at least endured together for many decades, and their kid seems reasonably well adjusted.

I think we can all agree that Donald and Melania's is easily the worst marriage.

77!

Looked it up. 76 years. Something must be going right if two people can tolerate, let alone love, each other for that long. I was born way after the Carter administration but they are adorable.

Recently replayed radio interview , he talked about an imperiousness he grew beyond. Wife had to be painfully tolerant those first years of marriage. But hats off to Carter’s personal growth.
