How many hours a week do you actually work?

Anonymous
I’m full blown working about 35hrs a week. This includes me backing out time for daily walks (which I do at the office and when I WFH) and includes me backing out lunch. I flip my laptop on at 830 and turn it off at 5. Sometimes I work more sometimes less. Last year I think I made around 298k.

I would like to know what kind of jobs people are working that provide $200-$400k for part-time hours.

I’m very lucky. I actually WFH 20-30 hours a week and make $160K.

I have great work life balance and able to schlep my kids to all their activities.

But I also do a lot of laundry, gardening and cooking. So, I’m working 40-50 hours.

Teacher above. 60+ hours

I wish you didn’t include home duties. My number now jumps into the 90+ a week range. Now I really want to quit.

$475k finance

Probably 30hrs but I pay for a lot of support to reduce those hours. My pay could be much higher but I prioritize time with my kids.

I think the high salaries for few hours are sales jobs.

Average is 60. Varies wildly from 30 to 90. Make about 1.5 million.

Yes. And the low salaries for few hours are government.

I don’t know what kid did sales job that is! My DH has been in IT sales for years and he’s always working. Always traveling and visiting customers.

Maybe 10-15 hrs/week and $100k. This is my last job before retirement and I took something more mid level to scale back stress and responsibility. Working out well so far!

Government, hybrid employee making over 150k.
I love my job and some weeks I work more than that, some less. Just depends.

This is me as well, almost verbatim! I work extremely hard.

Same here but not government.
