How many hours a week do you actually work?

I don’t know what kid did sales job that is! My DH has been in IT sales for years and he’s always working. Always traveling and visiting customers.

As I have posted on other threads, people actually do have lucrative sales jobs selling things other than IT/SAAS, pharma and med device.

This week I worked maybe 5 hours and not working at all today. I made about 75k this week.

I think the teacher hours and salaries are misleading. They work about 180 days a year because of summers and other days off that most people don’t get. Even though they work fulltime hours when they are in school, they have way more off days.

Isn’t that what this thread is about? How many hours a week does one work? 50-60 hours a week is 50-60 hours a week. If I worked 50 hours this week and then took the next two weeks off, I would have still worked the hours in that week. I wouldn’t take the hours worked over 40 weeks and average them out over 52.

I’m a PP who works very few hours a week. I do everything that is required of me and when I ask for additional work am just told to stand by. I would actually be happy with more responsibilities but that requires effort from higher ups (to train, explain, answer questions etc) so I guess my value lies in just doing what’s been established as my responsibilities

I’m the same. I work very few hours because I can complete deliverables efficiently way before the deadline. I volunteer for new assignments and am often put on projects. My supervisors love my work and never question my hours.

I work 7 on 7 off so I guess by this logic I work 80 hour weeks.

Your 2 week vacation occurs sporadically not based on a standard schedule.
