When people leave, where do they tend to go? |
Wow, your a peach. I didn’t say it was new this year. I do, however, know that for our school it has had the biggest effect yet this year. I think the effect would take a little while to trickle down to JOW, so I suspect this would have been the first year they’d really stand to benefit. Next year even more. |
Teachers or students? Students: L-T has seemed to pick up quite a few this/last year, including two IB kids mid-year last year (which I’d assume is the sign of an extreme issue). |
ITS apparently got a number of former TR students this year. |
And the year before. And a principal. And at least one teacher. |
The TR Board of Directors is an embarrassment. I hope this failure follows them throughout their professional careers. It's almost as though being a lawyer at the Kennedy Center doesn't qualify you to run school boards. Shocking... |
The fact that TR4 is very much a neighborhood school makes it much easier for kids to peel off for SH. The kids from the neighborhood and from W5 are a reasonable commute to the new Cooper campus. I honestly wonder whether they will cut bait and sell the 4th street properties in a few years when it becomes clear they just aren't competent to run one school, let alone 3. |
It seems like Young is in a worse way than 4 St no? I think the question is whether they will hang in to Young. |
Plenty of seats in the neighborhood schools above which can’t fill their classes. This confirms that many families use DCPS for ECE but then peel off and go somewhere else. |
